Miscellaneous Doujinshi Stash

I’ve got a stockpile of doujinshi that I need to post about. Unfortunately, I just haven’t gotten around to it (I get distracted and it’s not a high priority). Since comiket74 just finished up and I’ve got another group of doujinshi heading my way, I figured now would be a good time to clear up the queue a bit.

I’m starting with three doujinshi from varying sources and release dates. I plan on doing some artist focused reviews in the near future expect some POP, WNB, and Dmyo reviews soon :-) As usual, I have scanned sample images from each release. Continue reading →

New DVD collection

Since I’ve been pre-occupied with securing my Comiket 74 goods, I haven’t had a chance to finish up some doujinshi reviews I’ve been working on. Instead I thought I would post this new DVD arrival.
I think I’m one of the five anime fans that didn’t like The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi. I tried watching it while it aired but I lost interest around episode 7 or 8. Since I found a good deal on it and it’s become so absurdly popular (that must mean it’s good right? -_-), I decided to give it another chance. Maybe I can make it through the series this time!

Otakon 2008

I just returned from Otakon 2008 in Baltimore, Maryland over the weekend. It was a good showing this year, with a record number of 26,000+ attendees at the Baltimore Convention Center. Considering I live in Indiana, it was quite a drive to Maryland. Luckily, I know some old college pals who live in the Baltimore area and we were able to stay at their house. Some of you may not know, but I’m a WoW player. Yes… I’m one of them…
OK, I’m not really addicted, but I do put a lot of time into WoW but the time of epic raids and dungeon exploring is about to come to an end. I’ve decided to quit (again). /cry

Clannad Summary

I recently finished watching Clannad. As usual, I was a bit behind and watched the series after it had finished airing, something I tend to do so I don’t have to suffer the weekly cliffhangers ^^;

This is meant to be more of a overall summary of the series than a detail review. I thought about doing an in-depth review but there are other blogs out there (Random Curiosity, for example) who do a better job at this. Instead, I will be giving my personal response to the series. Continue reading →
