I just found out about this figure by FREEing which was announced a few days ago. They are releasing a full set of the four Lucky Star girls starting with Izumi Konata. These will be 1/4 scale figures which is really big, larger than any other figure I currently have. Of course, as a result of the large scale, it will be quite expensive. Hobby Search already has it up for pre-order for a hefty 10,677¥.
The cool thing about this figure is that it will have actual fabric for Konata’s gym uniform. I haven’t owned a figure with fabric clothes but it looks pretty good from the preview photographs. I’m really tempted to order this despite the cost ^^; I’ve been collecting a lot of Lucky Star items and this seems too good to pass up. I’m just not looking forward to how much lighter my wallet will be…
More pics and info at GSC. Scheduled release in June.

Yay, they’re finally here. These are the first real figures I’ve purchased since last August when I received my last set of Lucky Star characters figures. Here we have Hiiragi Kagami (Kagamin) and Izumi Konata as made by Clayz. From preview images of these figures, they looked a tad plain but upon arrival and further insepection, I have to say I like them. They’re fairly simple but they capture the characters pretty well ^^ Continue reading 'Clayz 1/8 Hiiragi Kagami & Izumi Konata'»
Ok, they didn’t actually fall from the sky but that would be a nice change of weather ^^; In fact, I’ve had these nendoroids for a couple months; I just haven’t gotten around to taking photos of them until now. And the reason for that is that I have a new camera :) Yep, I’m the proud owner of a Canon 40D. This is my first DSLR (that I didn’t borrow) so I’m still learning how to apply the various features of this powerful camera.
Unfortunately, the following photos reveal my inexperience as I took them the day I received the camera >_< Ah, well.. I’ve actually learned quite a bit in the few days since then so hopefully my next photos will look better. If anyone has expereience taking good photos of figures, I’d be interested in additional advice. Hit the jump for the photos. Continue reading 'More Lucky Star Nendoroids fall from the sky'»

It’s out ^^ As of this time, there are no subs out yet, but you can find the raw at various places around the interwebs. Seeing as how I’ve been waiting for this for months, I decided to grab the raw and use my rusty Japanese skills to decipher the moon language used within. Continue reading 'Lucky Star OVA!'»

Yay, more Lucky Star goodies! Hiiragi Tsukasa and Izumi Konata made their way from Japan to my home earlier this week. These Figma action figures were ordered from HobbyLink Japan if you’re looking for a place to pick these or other Figma up. Continue reading 'Konata & Tsukasa Figma'»
