In the past I’ve shown the excellent 1/4 scale Lucky Star figures that FREEing originally released in 2009-2010 as well as the hard to find extra outfits. Apparently, enough crazy Lucky Star fans like myself bought the figures that FREEing followed up their original set of 4 figures with an additional 4, this time with some of the girls from class 1-D. And I just happen to be crazy enough to purchase the four new figures and have them here for your visual enjoyment ;)

Even though FREEing has moved on and has announced plans to release more characters from the Lucky Star cast in their 1/4 scale glory, I’m not yet finished with the original four girls ;) In the past, I have shown their seifuku and miko outfits but this time I have a new treat: Cheerleader uniforms!
There is a new reason to rejoice for Lucky Star fans. Today, FREEing started reservations for a new 1/4 scale Lucky Star figure: Yutaka Kobayakawa! Like the previous FREEing 1/4 scale Lucky Star figures, Yutaka is dressed in a school gym uniform, only this time instead of shorts, she is wearing bloomers. Yay! ;)
Yutaka is from one of the younger classes, maybe that’s why she gets bloomers? She’s super cute! I think we’ll be seeing more of the other girls coming in the future too. Good Smile says this “The Lucky Star gym uniform series from FREEing is set to continue, this time bringing all the characters in the other classes to join their older friends!”. Even more of the other girls to follow? :D
Yutaka will be released in October and will retail for 14,095 yen. A bit pricey, but she is 1/4 scale. She is available for pre-order at Amiami for 11,250 yen and Hobby Search for 11,981 yen (plus 599 points!) so you won’t have to pay the full retail price :)
Anyone going to be getting her? I am very tempted by her moe-ness! I already have the original 4 figures by FREEing and I’m compelled to get all the girls in the set. Very possible get for me!

Remember those huge 1/4 scale Lucky Star figures by FREEing? Well, I quite liked them and I haven’t forgotten about them ^^. That’s why I persisted on acquiring the sailor and miko outfits that were released for Wonder Festival a while back.
It’s quite a while since I’ve done a proper figure review, hasn’t it? ^^;
Time to change that! This time, I have a special treat. Following the Super Konata and Super Kagami reviews from last year, it’s a Super Tsukasa and Super Miyuki double review! These lovely ladies round out the last two entries of FREEing’s 1/4 scale Lucky Star set. Continue reading '“Super” Tsukasa & Miyuki (FREEing)'»
Some recently acquired goodies ^^. I’ve got a long list of figures that I have not yet had a chance to post about but have been quite busy recently (more on that soon). First up is the adorable and unique Kagabu plushie from Lucky Star. Kagabu is not an official character from the series. From some Google’ing, I found that there is a doujinshi comic in which Kagami is a pig/girl thing and this is what it’s based on. I haven’t read the manga so I don’t actually know what it’s about ^^; However, that didn’t stop me from wanting my own Kagabu :D
Returned home today to find a rather large package from Hobby Search waiting for me. It was packed full of delicious bishoujos :D
Three new Lucky Star girls and a Kyou challenger appears! Since I’m quite cheap and shipping EMS is quite expensive, I try to package as many items into a single order as possible. Hobby Search is great for this as they will hold your items up to a month and then ship them all together. Results in a slight delay for some items that are released early in the month but saves a lot of money on shipping ^^
I’m looking forward to playing with my new toys over the long Labor Day weekend :-D

On a unrelated note, I have been keeping myself busy with a few new games (new to me, at least). Picked up LittleBigPlanet (PS3), God of War 2 (PS2), and borrowed Persona 4 (PS2) from a friend. Too many games, too little time xD The PS2 games play quite nicely on my PS3 thanks to the backwards compatible hardware in the 60GB model.
And lastly, I’m almost done with final part of my Italy trip coverage. Should have done that a while ago ^^;
