Ever wanted an anime-themed mouse pad but didn’t want to shell out $10 or $20 for one of your favorite character? Or maybe one of your favorite image that just isn’t for sell anywhere. Well, how about creating a custom mouse pad? :) If you’ve seen older pictures of my desk, you may have seen the above mouse pad. It was my first custom anime-themed mouse pad but as you can see after over a year of heavy use, it has seen better days ^^;
So I decided to order some new custom mouse pads :). Headed over to my image site, e-shuushuu.net, and picked out some of my fav illustrations. I use the website www.icustomdesign.com to order my mouse pads. You can upload your own images and, using their tool, re-size and align them to fit on a mouse pad. Then you can add it to your cart and they will print your custom mouse pad!

Don’t use a mousepad though, only a gel wristpad. Though I do have and use a Razer eXactMat for gaming (which isn’t often).

Yeah, I guess I really don’t need to use a mouse pad any more with my laser mouse. I just like the feel of one under my wrist and the smooth traction it gives my mouse ^^

I usually only use the pad of my laptop though and well the deal doesnt apply to me :(
So I am actually amazed that they are printing this stuff due to well licensing issues

I was also a bit surprised they didn’t check to see if their orders had copyrighted work in them. I guess they don’t really care. Or maybe only when it’s an obvious copyrighted source like the Simpsons or something ^^;
My laser mouse is a bit wonky on some surface… even plain white paper, which is quite strange. I should get some mouse pad as well to address this, and rest the wrist.

Really? My laser mouse works on just about any surface. In fact, I can hover it in the air a few millimeters from the surface and it will still track ^^.

I remember seeing a World is Mine mousepad in a picture of somebody’s room but I couldn’t find it for sale ANYWHERE. Maybe I should get it on a custom mousepad since the price seems good enough~ ^^
The quality is decent but it’s not as good as you would find with an official anime mouse pad. Still, they’re very cheap and you can make it however you want :)
