Taiga wins 2009 Saimoe ^^
This year’s Saimoe contest winner is none other than the tenori tiger herself: Aisaka Taiga :) Glad to see one of my favorite characters getting recognized ^^
Moetron has a good summary of the contest and votes. Congrats to Taiga for pulling off the victory over another moelicious rival, Yui from K-ON! Enjoy a few pics of Taiga to celebrrate (more at Moetron too!)

Good job.
BTW, doesn’t she look almost like Haruka’s sister, aside from the different facial expression?

Like Chiaki? Yes, I’ve seen that comparison made before ^^
BTW, I thought I had subscribed to your blog but apparently I was wrong. Fixed ^^
Wasn’t expecting it but Taiga :D
Both of the finalists were good choices but I’m glad Taiga pulled ahead for the win ^^
Goddamn, is there anyway to participate in SaiMoe without feeling like a dirty pedophile?

Ah, maybe a bit. Taiga’s not loli though (in my opinion). That’s based more on her personality than her small stature ;)
Yes ! Congratulations Taiga-chan !
yay :)
But is Taiga really moe? Isn’t she more tsundere, really?
Nah, she’s pretty moe and I’m not one much into such contests.

I think just about any “cute” girl is eligible for saimoe xD
Some people think Tsundere is moe.
It seems like “Moe” is now the catch-all term for cute. Both the “Kawaiiii!” kittens, and the bubbly girls, and the girls you just think are cute. And not just behaviour, but also looks. Definitely looks cute.

Yeah, I never really cared much for the “moe” buzzword. And it pretty goes for anyone cute these days anyway.
I refuse to follow Saimoe let alone know how it all works.
Congratz Taiga, however u did it. lol

WOW, this art is simply amazing. I used to draw all the time and gonna have to put up some of my old art ;D But yeah, I just got tired of all the hard work and thanklessness of it. Anyways, nice art!
