My latest acquired figure is the lovely miss Hinagiku Katsura from the comedy series Hayate no Gotoku!  This 1/6 scale figure is by the company Kotobukiya and was released in January 2009.

Hinagiku is enjoying the nice summer weather at the beach but was coerced by her sister, Yukiji-sensei, to put on this figure flattering bikini.  She is in the process of brushing back her long, light red hair.  While she’s not quite as endowed as my last figure, Mao, she’s better off than Nagi xD

For those who haven’t seen Hayate no Gotoku!, I highly recommend it for those who enjoy a good comedy series.  I wrote up a review of the anime series a while ago.

I shot the photos here on my Canon 40D with my newly acquired 50mm f/1.8 lens.  Probably not the best range for figure shooting but I wanted to make use of the wide aperture of the lens.  I’m pretty satisfied with the results :D

I don’t have any issues with the quality of this figure.  The skin tone on the figure is very light, but I think that’s more a reflection of Hinagiku’s tan (or lack thereof).  No glaring paint problems here, either ^^

Although this is not the swimsuit Hinagiku was shown (partially) wearing in the recent OVA, it’s quite cute.  Probably a bit daring for her style though.  After all, she’s the one who wears sport shorts under her school uniform!  You know, just in case she gets stuck in a tree or the wind blows ^^;

The second season of the anime, Hayate no Gotoku!! starts April 3rd.  I’m eagerly looking forward to more crazy antics from Hayate, Nagi, Hinagiku, and the rest of the gang.

This was another indoors shoot.  I think I got the lighting more accurate this time and the new lens helped a lot.  I still want to try with natural light so maybe next time I can experiment with that.

I think I’m going to need to make more room for my figures.  I have been putting them on my bookshelves above my manga and DVDs but my dedicated figure shelf is running low on space.  Time to commandeer another shelf from my old anime to make room for figures.
