Yeah, I think it is due the multi-piece molding required for doll bodies and the joints complicate things. Also, don’t forget the clothes are real fabric and sewn together ^^

This is actually a rather proportionate rendition of Yui…
I always wondered though, why are dolls more expensive than figures normally? I was guessing it was because of the wider variety of materials used to create a doll with its clothes and accessories, but I’m a newb in the matter ^^;

Eh? Big heads are part of anime! Well, Kagami does appear to have a somewhat over-sized head, but like I mentioned, they gave her a more anime-ish look overall.
Yui though… I think her neck is fine xD
